Ghanaian business owner comparing US e-commerce platforms for selling Ghana-made products.

Which US platforms can a Ghanaian business sell on in 2026?

Compare US selling platforms for Ghana businesses, US companies managed from Ghana and US-resident sellers before choosing where to apply.

We monitor platform changes. Platform rules can change at any time. Juaso Insight regularly reviews the platforms in this guide and updates this page when important changes are confirmed. Because requirements may change without notice, always verify the latest information on the platform’s official website before applying.

It depends on your “seller path”: a business registered in Ghana can start on Amazon, eBay or its own Shopify store; a US company whose owner lives in Ghana opens a few more doors; and a person who lives in the US may qualify for the widest range of platforms.

Why your seller path matters

Many people ask, “Which platform is best?” But the first question is really, “Which platforms will accept me?”

US platforms may look at where your business is registered, where you live and how you will receive your money. Two sellers with the same product can therefore have very different platform choices.

The three seller paths

Path A — Ghana business

Your business is registered in Ghana, you live in Ghana and you apply using Ghanaian information.

Path B — US company, owner lives in Ghana

You live in Ghana but own a US-registered company, such as an LLC.

Path C — US resident with a business

You live in the US and operate through a US business.

Platform access is only the beginning. Getting paid, shipping orders, handling returns and preparing compliant products still require a proper plan. We walk through those steps inside the Start Selling in the US E-Commerce Market course.

We keep watching for changes

Platforms change their rules often. A platform that is closed to Ghana sellers today may open tomorrow. New platforms also appear.

That is why we keep checking. We watch for:

  • Rule changes on the platforms in this guide

  • Platforms that open to Ghana sellers, or close to them

  • New US platforms that could be a good fit for Ghana businesses

When something changes, we update this guide and change the "Rules last checked" date at the top. We also post an alert on Platform Pulse, our free updates page, so you can follow along.

Questions people ask

Do I need a US company to sell on Amazon?

Not always. Ghana is currently included on Amazon’s accepted-country list. Confirm the current list before applying.

Can I use my cousin’s US address?

No. Your information must be truthful and verifiable.

Can I sell on Etsy from Ghana?

Not currently through a Ghana-based seller account. Check Etsy’s eligible-country list for updates.

Will a US LLC get me onto TikTok Shop?

Not automatically. Eligibility can depend on the owner, business information and the program through which the seller applies.

Why don’t you guarantee approval?

Only the platform controls its approval decisions.
